Creation of a website with member portal and backend for a professional network.

The Völklinger Kreis (www.vk-online.de) is the network of gay executives and self-employed people. As a professional association, it promotes the professional success of its approx. 800 members, in particular through networking and exchange of experience, and is committed to holistic diversity management. The B&IT Group was commissioned by the IT board to create a new website and a backend system for the association’s management. The legacy systems used to date consisted of outdated TYPO3-based web applications as well as other systems for association management, some of which did not have interfaces to each other.
The B&IT Group then provided an integrated solution, based on their no-code technology, for the website including member portal, web shop and connection to a payment system, a Datev interface. The association management in particular required a high degree of software customization with partly very complex automated processes for member administration and representation of interests. The implementation was carried out in an agile approach (Scrum). The B&IT Group’s no-code technology enabled rapid prototyping within a few weeks, while the highly competent consulting services provided by B&IT employees throughout the solution creation and implementation process proved to be particularly advantageous.”

Creation and provision of a complete solution for VDOE association management

For over 45 years, the BerufsVerband Oecotrophologie e. V. (Professional Association of Ecotrophology) has been representing professionals who have completed studies in ecotrophology, nutrition, home economics, or food science, or who are currently pursuing these fields. Their primary objective is to create job opportunities for their members and to promote their employment in accordance with their qualifications.

In the past, the federation used various systems that can be roughly categorized as website, member portal and applications for the office. To create a modern overall solution for the association, the VDOE commissioned the BUIT Group.

The solution includes a website with member portal, a webshop, connection to payment systems and to Datev as well as a backend solution for association management. The association has very specific requirements; complex processes could be digitalized and automated across the different areas. An automated data migration of 44,000 inventory data and 650,000 data records on contact activities of the legacy system was also developed.

The pure programming work for the bidirectional connection to the website and the member portal took only 2 months thanks to the BUIT Group’s no-code technology.

Creation, provision and maintenance of a complete solution for the membership and association management of NWO and IPO.

The association represents the professional, technical and commercial interests of its members and safeguards the interests of the private bus and coach sector. It is also an employers’ association with collective bargaining autonomy. Affiliated is the cooperative community of interest “Privater Omnibusunternehmen e.G.”, which provides special services for the members of the NWO.
The federation used an outdated solution for administration dating back to 1990, for which no documentation existed anymore. Therefore, the B&IT Group was commissioned to create a web-based solution for the association management.
Particularly noteworthy in this implementation is the automation of the calculation of membership fees. These are based on a complex set of rules based on the number of buses according to size, other motor vehicles, etc., so that it is now possible to automatically calculate the annual membership fees, which were previously calculated manually, via corresponding invoice runs and to invoice the members.
Furthermore, a geodata query of the location of all members was developed, which automatically determines the new location via web service each time an address is changed in the system and updates the map with the locations via the SQL connection to the federation’s website.
The approximately 12,000 member (company) records were migrated from the legacy system. The implementation of the software solution, i.e. the pure creation in no-code technology, was realized within only 6 weeks.
